If you want to backup your RS5 Media Server data, you can now do this to a dedicated 3.5" SATA high capacity HDD.  You simply insert a HDD the AVA HDD1 caddy then into a spare RS5 slot, and add it is a BACKUP device.  You then just tell the system to backup a specific folder (ie music) or folders to that named backup drive.  Once completed the HDD in the caddy can be removed and simply inserted to the AVA HDD1 carrier.  If you ever want to bring the data up to date on the BACKUP HDD, simply remove it from the AVA HDD1 carrier, insert it into a spare slot, and press the blue backup button on the RS5.  Once completed remove it again for safe keeping, or use in another location.

Using the AVA HDD1 carrier, you can quickly remove the HDD from the RS5 and slot it in, and carry it away for safe keeping.  Or you can now enjoy your media files, stored on the AVA HDD1 device on any system with a USB or eSATA interface.  Ie in a second home etc..
